Worksop Counselling

If you want counselling in Worksop that feels welcoming, modern, and genuinely supportive, our Worksop branch was created for exactly that reason. This is our newer, larger space — designed with the same Absoluteness heart, but with more room for interactive, engaging work while still keeping the calm, non-clinical feel that helps people relax and open up. You’ll find us at Middleton’s Yard, Potter Street, Worksop, S80 2FT.

The orange matters

If you’ve seen our branding, you’ll know orange is part of our personality — especially in Worksop. For us, orange is bold and bright, and it symbolises hope for lighter days and stronger moments. It’s a reminder that change is possible, even when things feel heavy. That’s why our mission is simple: to inspire change — with you at the centre of everything we do.

A bigger space, same Absoluteness soul

We opened our Worksop branch in August 2025, building on everything we learned from our original Retford base.  Worksop is a space made with love, care, and attention to detail — somewhere that says “you’re safe here” the moment you walk in. It’s intentionally non-clinical and designed to be comfortable for a wide range of people, including clients with sensory needs.

Who we support in Worksop

We welcome children from age six, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. Some people come to talk through anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, or relationship difficulties. Others come because work stress, burnout, or life in general feels too much. Whatever the reason, you don’t need to “have it all figured out” to start. Counselling is a journey — and we’ll walk it with you, step by step.

Our style: real, down-to-earth, and tailored

We’re not here to tell you what to do. We’re here to offer a safe place, ask the right questions, and help you understand what’s happening inside you — so you can make choices that move you forward.  Our team is made up of skilled therapists with a range of strengths, and we match you thoughtfully so you feel understood and supported.

Sessions may include:

* Traditional talking therapy in a calm, relaxed setting

* Creative approaches (arts/crafts, photography, and games — especially helpful for younger clients)

* Practical tools for coping with anxiety, habits, and unhelpful thought patterns (where appropriate)

We also offer support across a wide range of needs, including neurodiversity, bereavement, work-related stress, and more specialist areas the team is trained in.

Access, parking and arrival notes (please read)

A quick practical note for anyone visiting Worksop: Middleton’s Yard does not have client parking, but there are public car parks within a short walk (around 2 minutes). Also, the Worksop office is accessible by stairs only.

Ready when you are

If you’d like to book in Worksop (or just talk things through first), contact us and we’ll arrange a short, informal conversation to help you decide the best next step and the right therapist for you. If affordability is a concern, our KindMind Fund exists to help local people access counselling they might not otherwise be able to afford — supported by generous individuals and businesses in our community.
