We understand the reality: waiting lists are long
If you’re a SENCO, Head Teacher, DSL, pastoral lead, or family support worker, you’ll know how hard it can be to secure timely support. The wait can feel endless, criteria can be high, and families often feel overwhelmed trying to navigate a system that isn’t always easy to access. We get it — and we believe no child should have to wait to be supported. Early intervention matters, and sometimes the right help at the right time can prevent difficulties from becoming crises.
That’s why we exist: to provide accessible, face-to-face therapeutic support that can bridge the gap while other pathways are being explored — or provide the consistent care a child needs when they don’t meet thresholds elsewhere.
In-school counselling that meets pupils where they are
We can provide face-to-face counselling in your school, in a way that is sensitive to routines, safeguarding processes, and the realities of busy education settings. Our therapists are experienced at working in a grounded, child-friendly way — helping pupils feel comfortable, reduce anxiety, and build emotional understanding and coping strategies.
Support can be helpful for a wide range of needs, including:
* Anxiety and worry
* Low mood, confidence, and self-esteem
* Friendship challenges and social pressure
* Emotional regulation and behaviour that challenges
* Bereavement and loss
* Bamily change, separation, and transitions
And we don’t just support pupils — we can also offer guidance and reflective support to staff, helping you feel more confident in responding to emotional needs in school, and strengthening a whole-school culture of care (without adding more weight to already full workloads).
A creative, flexible approach (not “one size fits all”)
Traditional talking therapy can be powerful — but children and young people don’t always have the words. That’s why we use a variety of approaches and adapt to the pupil in front of us. For many young people, therapeutic play and creativity are the safest bridge into what they’re feeling. We may use interactive activities, games, creative work, and practical techniques to help pupils express themselves and make sense of their world.
Above all, we’re person-centred: individual, unique support that honours each pupil’s pace, personality, and needs.
Two beautiful, purpose-designed spaces: Retford and Worksop
For some pupils, school is the right setting. For others, it helps to step into a neutral space away from the classroom. We can support pupils at either of our two welcoming offices:
Retford Enterprise Centre – our original base: warm, inviting, and able to shift from calming to more stimulating depending on the child’s needs.
Middleton’s Yard, Worksop – our larger space: more room for interactive and engaging work, while still keeping the tranquil, non-clinical feel that helps people settle.
These spaces are designed to feel safe and non-clinical — the opposite of intimidating — so children and families feel welcomed from the moment they arrive.
Specialist strengths: neurodiversity and adversity-informed practice
We have particular experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people and helping families better understand needs, strengths, and day-to-day challenges. Our team’s specialist training includes areas such as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Behaviour That Challenges, supporting a calm, compassionate, and informed approach to children who may be struggling beneath the surface.
We also have experience supporting young people across a variety of settings, including alternative provisions and residential environments, where consistent, relationship-based support can be life-changing.
Orange, by design: hope and brighter days ahead
You’ll notice orange across our brand and identity. For us, it represents hope, confidence, warmth, and brighter days ahead. We bring that same spirit into schools: practical support, real connection, and a commitment to helping every child feel they have a future worth leaning towards.
If you’d like to explore counselling support for pupils, families, or staff — whether as a short-term bridge or a longer-term partnership — we’d love to talk. Reach out and tell us what your school is facing, and we’ll shape a support plan that fits your setting and your pupils.
